On a forklift or an excavator the driver is not the only one who needs the alert. Someone walking past the machine has no idea where its blind spot ends. This system answers both: BSD cameras feed the 10.1-inch screen and watch a zero-to-six-metre zone around the body, and when something enters it the unit lights a buzzer in the cab and switches on projected LED beams that paint a coloured keep-out line on the ground.
Those area lights are the difference. A red, blue or green linear beam thrown onto the floor tells a pedestrian exactly where not to stand, in a yard too loud for an in-cab buzzer to help them. Three BSD cameras give the coverage, all four channels record in 1080P with loop recording, and the whole set is built to survive a machine that pounds.
Each area light throws a sharp linear beam, red, blue or green, with a 1:2 height-to-length projection that lands a clear band on the ground beside the machine. In a busy site a painted line of light reaches people that an in-cab alarm never will, and it switches on the moment the AI sees someone in the zone.
Three starlight IR cameras cover the danger zone out to six metres, and the AI picks a person or vehicle out of the scene. When it does, the driver gets the buzzer and the screen, and the people outside get the projected light, so both sides of the blind spot are warned at once.
The lights sit in aluminium housings with acrylic lenses and stainless brackets, sealed to IP67 and rated for 60G impact, IK08 mechanical protection and heavy vibration, across a -25 to 85°C range. They handle the surge and the shake of construction plant rather than failing in the first month.
