The weak point of a card-based recorder is the card: pull the wrong one, corrupt it, or have it tampered with, and the footage is gone. The HP-V20 runs two SD cards instead of one, so the recording has a backup on board. It takes four AHD 1080P cameras, compresses with H.264 or H.265, and stays small enough to hide behind the dash at 140 by 154 millimetres.
It is a connected, intelligent box rather than a plain recorder. ADAS, DMS and BSD algorithms run on the feeds, 4G, WiFi and GPS bring live view and tracking through the CMSV6 platform, and an encrypted, watermarked file system keeps the footage admissible. Recording triggers on speed, a turn, the brake, reverse and even a door opening, marking the events that matter.
A second SD card means a recording is not riding on one piece of removable media. If a card is pulled, fails or is tampered with, the footage is still there, which matters most on exactly the vehicles where someone might want it to disappear.
ADAS reads the road ahead, DMS watches the driver for fatigue and distraction, and BSD covers the blind spots, all from the one compact recorder. Alarm clips upload on their own over 4G, so the office reviews flagged events rather than whole shifts.
With 4G, WiFi and GPS the unit reports to the CMSV6 platform for live video, playback, and route history on a PC or a phone, and it adapts to changing 3G/4G bandwidth on the move. Local and remote firmware updates keep a whole fleet current without a workshop visit.
